Exactly how Business Lending Bureau is and is not paid, and what would have to change for that to be different.
The short version
Business Lending Bureau receives no compensation from any lender, broker, network, or financing provider. No affiliate links, no referral fees, no paid placements, no lead sales. Nothing on this site is ranked, recommended, or omitted because of money.
Why a disclosure page on a site that takes no money
Because you should not have to take our word for it, and because the norm in this industry is the opposite. Most "best business loans" content is compensated, frequently at rates that vary enormously by product — and the products that pay publishers the most are, with grim reliability, the ones that cost borrowers the most.
If a page ranks merchant cash advances alongside SBA loans without explaining that one costs five to twenty times the other, ask who paid for the page.
What we do not do
There is no form on this site, no newsletter signup, and no gated download. We do not collect your name, your email, or anything about your business, because we are not selling anything and have no use for it.
- We do not generate or sell leads.
- We do not submit you to lenders or brokers.
- We do not run advertising or affiliate links.
- We do not ask you to identify yourself to read anything here.
What would change, and how you would know
It is possible that this site will earn money in the future — most likely by earning a referral fee when a reader we have helped chooses to be introduced to a lender. If that happens:
- This page will say so, at the top, before anything else.
- Every page where compensation could apply will carry a disclosure.
- We will name the arrangement — who pays us, and for what.
- Our editorial rules will stay as they are on the methodology page, and nothing will be ranked or recommended on the basis of what it pays.
Advertising and tracking
